**Subject: ** Protect Yourself from Cancer: Get the HPV Vaccine Today!

Dear member,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m excited to share some groundbreaking news about the benefits of the HPV vaccine.

Recent research presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2024 annual meeting has highlighted the extensive cancer protection offered by the HPV vaccine, extending beyond cervical cancer to include head and neck cancers, particularly in men.

**Key Findings from the Study: **

– **Men** who received the HPV vaccine had a **56% lower risk for head and neck cancers** and a **54% lower risk for all HPV-related cancers**.
– **Women** who received the HPV vaccine had a **27% lower risk for all HPV-related cancers** and a **54% lower risk for cervical cancer**.

This analysis, conducted by Jefferson DeKloe, BS, and colleagues from Thomas Jefferson University, utilized the US TriNetX database to create a matched cohort of nearly 1.7 million vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.

The findings emphasize the critical role of the HPV vaccine in cancer prevention.

Additionally, vaccinated women were found to be less likely to develop high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions, cervical carcinoma in situ, and abnormal Pap findings. They also had a reduced need for cone biopsy and loop electrosurgical excision procedures.

ASCO President, Dr. Lynn Schuchter, highlighted the importance of this study: “This is a really important study that extends the information about the impact of the HPV vaccine, emphasizing its significant role in preventing not only HPV infection but also various forms of cancer.”

**Why This Matters: **
Getting vaccinated against HPV is a proactive step in protecting yourself and your loved ones from multiple types of cancer.

The HPV vaccine is a powerful tool in our arsenal to fight cancer and maintain overall health.
